The other day I drove to Madrid (pronounced Mae drid) New Mexico to look at some of their art, pottery and jewelry.  Truly works of art!  While there I spied the “Woman in the Hat,” which stopped me in my tracks!  Immediately thought of one of New Yorks’s most prestigious fashion photographer, Bill Cunningham.  https://www.facebook.com/BillCunninghamPhotographer .  Bill would ride his bicycle through the streets of New York City, Manhatten, and capture fashion worn by both men and women.  His fashion photography was capturing people on the street and what they were wearing, and highlighting them in the New York Times.  Everyone in New York wanted to be photographed by Bill Cunningham, and he was well known to almost everyone in New York.  He passed away recently.  I saw a documentary about his life which will be long remembered and influential. https://www.amazon.com/Bill-Cunningham-New-York/dp/B005MMY7GO

When I saw this woman I thought of Bill Cunningham and had to photograph her.  I found out that she is a jewelry designer in Madrid, New Mexico, and was able to get her permission for the following images.  I hope you like.  I love hats, and she was striking in appearance.
